Choose a planet, then launch. No downloads and no sign-up; it runs right here in your browser.
Solar Explorer turns the Solar System into a place you can explore. You command the SES Horizon, leaving Earth to visit ten destinations, from the blazing Sun to distant, icy Pluto. Visit and learn about each world, on a phone, tablet, or desktop.
Quick start
- Pick a destination.Use the Destination bar to choose any of the ten worlds, from the Sun outward to Pluto.
- Make the journey.Watch the cockpit viewport as the Horizon warps, approaches, and settles into orbit.
- Get to know the world.Open the information panel with the info button (marked with an “i”) to read key facts, meet its moons, and check the captain’s log.
- Test yourself.Answer the short quiz that follows each arrival to build a streak and climb the score.
- Collect and progress.Earn achievement badges and watch your “Explored” count rise as you tick off all ten destinations.
Play big: fullscreen mode
For the most immersive view, switch the game to fullscreen so it fills your whole screen, much like an app.
- To enter fullscreen
- Tap the fullscreen button in the top instrument bar (the icon with four arrows pointing outward), or press the F key if you are using a keyboard.
- To exit fullscreen
- Tap the same button again (it then shows four arrows pointing inward), press F a second time, or press the Esc key.
Fullscreen works on phones, tablets, and computers. On a touchscreen, use the button, since there is no keyboard shortcut.
