Build a Smartphone Infographic
Assemble a generic smartphone from seven components. Explore what each part does. No app to install. It runs in your browser.
Getting started takes seconds. Here is all you need to know.
- Find the next component.In guided mode, the next part to fit glows in the list and a dashed outline shows where it belongs inside the phone.
- Place it.On a computer, drag the highlighted card onto the phone. On a touchscreen, tap the card to pick it up, then tap the phone to drop it in.
- Learn as you build.Once a part is placed, click or tap it on the phone to open an information panel describing what it is and how it works.
- Finish and explore.Place all seven parts to complete the phone. Try the explode view to see how everything fits together, or switch to free mode to build in any order you like.
Going Full Screen
- To enter: tap the full screen button in the demo’s toolbar (the outward-pointing arrows). The demo expands to fill your whole screen for a distraction-free, app-like experience.
- To exit: tap the same button again (it now shows inward-pointing arrows), or press the Esc key on a keyboard.
On an iPhone: the demo fills the browser window rather than taking over the entire screen, because iOS reserves true full screen for video. Tap the button again to return; the Esc key is not needed.
The Seven Components
- Battery. Stores the energy that powers everything else.
- Motherboard. The main circuit board that connects every part.
- Charging Port. The USB-C socket for power and data.
- Rear Camera. The multi-lens camera on the back.
- Front Camera. The selfie camera and face sensor.
- Speaker. The driver that produces sound.
- Display. The screen, fitted last, which completes the phone.
