Puzzles
Open the Box. Then Find the Box Inside It.
A seamless metal cube floats before you, its surface traced with faint glowing lines. There are no obvious locks, no buttons; only mechanisms waiting to be understood. Turn it, study each face, and find the hidden alignment that wakes it. Solve one box and it transforms, elegantly, into a harder box nested within.
Five boxes in all, each a small world of its own: sliding brass panels, turning star charts, singing gears, beams of coloured light, and an ancient engine of glyphs. The secrets are drawn from real science and mathematics, so every box you open teaches you something true.

Quick start
The whole game is played by turning the box and operating what you find on its faces. If you can drag and tap, you already know the controls.
-
1
Wake the box
Press Begin. The cube descends and its etched lines light. Drag anywhere to rotate it and see all six faces.
-
2
Read the faces
Each face hides a mechanism: a panel, a ring, a gear, a prism, a tile. A small etched mark shows what each one is reaching for.
-
3
Solve and transform
Set every face correctly and the box wakes, opens, and becomes the next puzzle. Five boxes stand between you and the heart.
The five boxes
Each box has its own style, its own materials, and its own idea drawn from the real world. They grow harder as you go.
-
I
The Initiate’s Cube
Sliding brass panels in worn tracks. A gentle first lesson: line each panel up with the mark etched above it.
Easy
-
II
The Astronomer’s Box
Turning star charts and an orrery whose three moons keep a real orbital rhythm, one, two, four, like the moons of Jupiter.
Easy to medium
-
III
The Harmonic Vault
Gold gear trains that sound true musical intervals. An octave is two to one; a fifth is three to two. Tune the wheels by ear and by number.
Medium
-
IV
The Prism Reliquary
Crystal and glass. Steer beams of coloured light through prisms into lenses; red with green makes yellow, all three make white.
Medium to hard
-
V
The Ancient Engine
An alien lock of magnetic glyph tiles that reach around the cube’s edges, then a simple cipher: the oldest secret in the world.

About the puzzles
The mechanics behind the boxes are grounded in real ideas: additive colour mixing, gear ratios and musical intervals, orbital resonance, and a classic light-switching logic puzzle paired with the oldest cipher there is. The names, places and stories are invented; the science and mathematics are not. Nothing is downloaded, and no account is needed. Your scores live only in your own browser, so you can simply pick a difficulty and play.
