Quick Start Choose 1 or 2 player game. Select Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert or Genius. Press ‘Start Game’. Find the remaining two numbers to complete each sequence. What is Numonex?
Numonex is a mathematical puzzle game. Each round you are shown a sequence of numbers that follow a secret rule. Your challenge is to study the numbers carefully, work out what the hidden rule is, and then correctly predict the next numbers in the sequence.
The game has five difficulty levels, from Beginner, where the rule is simple and immediately recognisable, all the way up to Genius, where patterns are subtle, values grow quickly, and cracking the rule requires real mathematical insight. Whether you are new to number sequences or an experienced puzzle solver, there is a level for you.
Five Difficulty Levels
Add the same number each step. You will spot the rule straight away. Perfect for first-time players.
Four pattern types: adding, skip counting, multiplying, and doubling. One clear operation every step.
Squares, triangular numbers, Fibonacci, primes, and alternating patterns. Recognise the sequence type to crack it.
Cubes, factorials, quadratic sequences, and hybrid patterns. Values grow fast and two levels of thinking are needed.
Complex quadratics and hybrid Fibonacci rules with large parameters. Only the sharpest mathematical minds will crack these.
Quick-Start Guide

1Choose your level and number of players.
Select a difficulty level at the top of the game. Start with Beginner if this is your first time. You can play solo or with two players taking turns on the same screen. -
2Study the sequence.
A row of numbered tiles appears on screen, followed by one or more tiles showing a question mark. The visible numbers all follow a single hidden mathematical rule. Study them carefully to work out what that rule is. -
3Tap a blank tile and enter your answer.
Tap or click any blank ? tile to select it. The tile will highlight with a blue border. Then type your predicted number using the on-screen number pad or your keyboard. The number appears directly on the tile. Tap the next blank tile to move to it, or use the arrow keys. -
4Press Check Answer to submit.
Correct answers turn green and are locked in. Wrong answers shake red and must be re-entered. You have three attempts per sequence. Each wrong attempt uses one up, so think carefully before you submit! -
5Score points and build your streak.
You score 100 points for a correct first-attempt answer, 60 points for a second attempt, and 30 points for a third. Answer consecutive sequences correctly to build a streak and earn bonus points. Each game has five sequences.

Use Clues Wisely
Stuck? Tap Clue for a hint, but each clue deducts 20 points from that sequence’s score.

Registered players have their best scores saved permanently. Beat your personal best and climb the leaderboard for each level.

A Quick Pattern Primer
Not sure where to start? Here are the three most useful things to check when you see a new sequence:
Step 1: Subtract each term from the next.
Write down the gaps: 4, 7, 10, 13 → gaps are 3, 3, 3. All the same? It is an arithmetic sequence. Just add that number each time.
Step 2: If the gaps are not equal, check if they form a pattern themselves.
e.g. 3, 8, 15, 24 → gaps are 5, 7, 9, increasing by 2 each time. That tells you it is a quadratic sequence. Subtract the gaps again: 2, 2, 2, constant second differences confirm it.
Step 3: If it is not about gaps, look at ratios.
Divide each term by the one before: 3, 6, 12, 24 → ratios are 2, 2, 2. Constant ratio = geometric sequence. A ratio that keeps doubling suggests powers of 2.
